Description

At the age of twenty, Gil J Wolman divided vowels and consonants and created the Mégapneumie.
In 1951, he directed the Anticoncept, film without images, projected on weather balloon, now in the collections of MNAM. In 1952, he founded the International Lettriste with Debord. Until 1957, he took an active part in Lettriste movement. In 1956, he represented the Lettrist International Congress of Alba, which laid the foundation for future Situationist International. From 1957 he developed his personal work, away from all the schools. In 1963, he invented the Art Scotch process, which is to extract printed strips using a tape repositions it on canvas or wood. Will succeeded among others: "Separations" in 1978, "dürhing dürhing" and "Breakdowns" in 1979. The "portrayed Painting" occupies the last part of his work from 1991. It is now time to separate the canvas from its subject.
