Guy Maddin, back of the Winnipeg Maroons' ice hockey team, faces forces he cannot control - forces that keep him from being a good son. and a good husband. Everything will change when he meets Meta, a young girl he instantly falls in love with and whose only obsession is to get revenge on her mother who murdered her beloved father. It is with the help of the doctor from the Maroons team, who is to transplant Guy's preciously preserved hands from her father, that she hopes to achieve this revenge.
