If Andy Warhol is a name that has achieved much more than 15 minutes of fame, some aspects of his work, particularly film, however, remain unclear. Warhol's films turned the world of cinema and its preconceived notions upside down. But the innovative elements and radical films Warhol (still shots long term, "real time", crude sexual performances ...) can only be fully realized if arrested by relating them to the overall attitude that generates all of the artist's work: his paintings as his movies. So the questions of dandyism, the assertion of indifference, the attraction to the surface of the voyeuristic impulse, are some of the "keys" that allow to analyze more accurately the game with the star, the fascination for Hollywood, the singularity of the assembly, and the strange relations maintained with the machine and the language.
