To present Stan Brakhage as a man to those who have never met him and his work to those who have never seen it, this introduction will be made by the transcription of a P. Adams Sitney and Stan Brakhage conversation which they had in spring 1963. It begins with an answer to a question about the cooperation and reciprocal inspiration between him and his wife, Jane, and developes to become maybe the most complex discussion about the films made by Stan Brakhage until that day.
