ANGER is part of the art film collection Human Frames that concentrates on psychological states such as happiness, desire, madness, fanaticism, fear, isolation, melancholy, mono no aware and impermanence. This volume presents eleven contemporary works from Asia and Europe that examine anger and its qualities, both violent and liberating. From a visceral individual reaction, anger can be transformed into a collective force protesting against the dysfunction of society.
Anger, deriving from annoyance about something, from dissatisfaction, disappointment or a similar feeling of displeasure. Anger is a spontaneous, internal, emotional reaction to a situation, a person or a memory, which the angry person seeks to change. The word anger subsumes a host of unpleasant emotions which can vary in degree and explicitness. The most pronounced form is rage, which seldom remains concealed from the person at whom it is directed; weaker forms of anger are discomfort, resentment, and discontent. These reactions are spontaneous and generally tend to be avoidable.
