Description
"When I walk with Yamada, I sense in him a true walker's endurance, as well as a singular attention to each object. When he discovers something interesting or beautiful, he stops and contemplates it at length. But he also moves on very quickly, suddenly shifting to the next thing, already talking about a completely different subject. This particular rhythm—a mixture of concentration and openness to reality—and this distinctive behavior, which seems in search of a world quite different from immediate reality, are fascinating. One could say it's a journey, but this series of works, in particular, puts you in the mood of "yes, this is really it".
