Description
Entuziazm by Dziga Vertov, considered a masterpiece of Soviet avant-garde cinema and one of the first sound films, deals with the Five-Year Plan of the 1920s. Acclaimed by artists such as Charlie Chaplin, it inventively blends industrial sounds, military marching music, and unprecedented sound experiments. This 2 DVD edition presents two versions of the film, including a fascinating restoration by Peter Kubelka which, by resynchronizing image and sound, allows viewers to fully experience what Vertov called the new language of sound cinema.
