Description
Variations brings together twelve Canadian moving image and sound artists who interpret Michael Snow's Poem (1957). The artists selected for this project approached the work from varied angles, perspectives, and emotions.
Snow's poem served as an anchor point for the participating artists' work, while leaving them the freedom to express their subjectivity in the final result.
Each artist chose to focus on different words, or groups of words, to develop their own narrative—a narrative based on a personal interpretation of Poem and how it could be transposed into image and sound.
