Since 1968, Jackie Raynal has continuously made films. Preserved at the Cinémathèque de Toulouse, the author's complete works remain underground, rarely screened and fragile due to their various formats.

Whether auto-fictions or documentaries, this collection of five films offers portraits of intimate struggles in which traces of collective memory stir. In Simon Lazard and Gougnette, we remember the war through the confessions of banker Lazard and the words of the Raynal family, resistance fighters in the south of France. In her interviews with Jean Rouch and Jonas Mekas, Jackie Raynal bears witness to the vigor of two beacons of independent cinema. And in La nuit de l'ours, the filmmaker steps in front of the camera to play a woman who fights with a smile to make a film.
