RICHARD BRADSHAW'S SHADOWTHEATER (2004) 60'
Description
When children and adults laugh at the same things, there can only be good reasons for it. That this is possible is brilliantly demonstrated by Australian Richard Bradshaw and his solo shadow theater. Bradshaw counts, like Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin or Jacques Tati, among the rare great masters of humor infused with benevolence. Jim Henson, the creator of the legendary Muppet Show, adored him and tried to unravel the mystery of his comic spirit. With the simplest means – light, silhouettes and shadows – accompanied by live singing and a few words, he astonishes and enchants his audience.
