Description
This rare work is part of the radical and experimental approach of Maurice Lemaître, a major figure of Lettrism and direct heir to Isidore Isou. Canailles II, III, IV constitutes a supertemporal automonograph, that is, a fragmented, non-linear autobiography conceived as a work in perpetual expansion, open to the strata of time, to rereadings and later additions. Lemaître combines texts, images, collages, Lettrist signs, handwritten annotations, manifestos and life documents, deliberately blurring the boundaries between artistic creation, theory, personal memory and critical intervention.
