Description
Starting from both the reality of film and the set of textures that cinema encompasses, "L'Exposition d'un Film" proposes a polyphonic choreography that does not conceive itself as an "epic" structural and structuralist film, and positions itself as the opposite of a sequence of shots adding up one after another. Discrepant, each constitutive layer of the whole presents itself as so many possible fields of action. An exhibition for a context—namely, a film presented in a cinema, constrained by the intrinsic properties of this social space—"L'Exposition d'un Film" asserts itself simultaneously as an exhibited film, the film of an exhibition, or even as a filmed exhibition.
