Description
A few texts by Marcel Hanoun.
"I am 76 years old. People don't think I look it (they lend me even fewer years). I've made '76' films (that's just a figure of speech). I've been filming since birth: my father filmed, filmed me in 9.5mm. I am a worker of the ephemeral and the enduring, having moved since the 1950s from 16 frames/second (amateur cinema) to 24 then to 25 frames/second (video), from 35mm to Super 8. I practice forward flight, accumulating production upon production, with unlimited yet paltry means, for an elastic and distant future. For a long time I wanted to be master of my freedom, to free myself from corporatism, from the economic weight of cinema and from the deceptive rules of film feasibility." (Marcel Hanoun)
