Description
RESISTANCE[S] III is the third volume in this collection of experimental films and original video works from the Middle East and North Africa. Featuring nine artists from diverse cultural and disciplinary backgrounds, these intimate, poetic, and documentary works bear witness to the complexity, vitality, and diversity of the region's creative energies.
Moving away from conventional stereotypes, the artists seek to explore the existential, political, and aesthetic questions of our time while opening the way to new narrative perspectives that break with the monotonous and repetitive imagery of the media. They offer us renewed perspectives on time and space, movement and memory, history and personal experience, while also addressing the place of women in society.
