Description
RE:FRAME is a selection of seven films from contemporary cinema, far removed from Bollywood, that bears witness to the wealth of creativity in India. Oscillating between documentary, video art, experimental film and animation, this compilation explores the ways in which the texture of memory integrates into both the individual trajectories of postcolonial Indian society and its national consciousness, in intimate spheres as much as in public spaces.
It offers contrasting perspectives on the country's situation and on its unanswered question: when the past has not yet caught up with the present, does it constitute a threat or an alternative to it?
