Description
Melancholy is part of the "Human Frames" art film collection, which explores various psychological states such as happiness, desire, madness, fanaticism, fear, anger, isolation, Mono no aware, and impermanence. This volume presents nine contemporary works from Asia and Europe that awaken our curiosity about other cultural interpretations of melancholy. The films invite us to revisit things we once considered familiar, to look at them from a new angle, and ultimately to subject our own cultural reference system to scrutiny.
