Description
In 2009, La maison rouge, Fondation Antoine de Galbert, presented a new kind of exhibition entitled "Soulèvements I", devoted to Jean-Jacques Lebel, curated by Jean de Loisy. This gigantic and protean installation explored the main directions of the plastic, poetic, and political activities of this extraordinary artist, polyglot and practitioner of the rhizome.
Explorer of heterogeneous universes, happenings creator, organizer of collective and transcultural events, advocate of generalized dadaization, demolisher of boundaries of all kinds, figurehead of young generations of artists, this DVD will reveal him in his plurality.
Directed by filmmaker Danielle Schirman and benefiting from the collaboration of a host of friends, the film bears witness to a rare enterprise through its interdisciplinarity and libertarian ethos.
