Oliver Bancroft Booklet - Mr. Patel's Golden Head
We returned to see him every day. Every day, the marks on his skin—like signs of ‘work in progress’—changed, every day he seemed to lose a little more of himself. (extract from the text accompanying the booklet, written by the artist.)
The booklet is from Oliver Bancroft’s first solo exhibition at the gallery, The Golden Loop.
It consists of 62 pages of drawings and 3 pages of text in French.
Born in Cambridge in 1976, Oliver Bancroft is recognised as one of the most significant painters of his generation. He has exhibited internationally and, over the past twenty years, has become a renowned filmmaker, whose films have been selected by Tacita Dean and screened at various venues, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
