Description
Poetic and philosophical variations on the theme of Paradise Lost, or the loss of innocence required to attain knowledge. Here, a few dozen men, women, and children attempt to dialogue in solitude with nature, water, sky, flowers, trees, insects... in search of silence and the invisible, everything that the city and today's society try to mask and stifle. Their cries, their messages intersect and respond to one another, like echoes in the mountain, or waves in water, which are the essence and breath of the world.
"More than a philosophy lesson, Leçon de vie is an art of living, an art of perceiving life. We find in it those lines of force that made Babel so beautiful, this invention of a speech in the present that disregards the march of progress and history. We find in it those fundamental questions about our scorned community, this rupture with the world of nature, this fundamental anguish born of communication that has become rational, efficient, and which constantly imposes between us and the cosmos the discourse of social groups, the truths of state or society."
