Description
On January 10, 1962, in the turbulent context of anti-psychiatric movements, the Club Antonin Artaud was founded in Brussels, on the initiative of former mental patients and some of their therapists. In this avant-garde space, designated as a center for social and cultural rehabilitation, Boris Lehman created a filmmaking group, the first of its kind. Over eighteen years, about a hundred films were made, individually or collectively: documentaries, fictions, and experimental films. These are not therapeutic films; they are rather experiences of art brut. We have selected seven of them.
