Description
"Les Avatars de Vénus is a medium-length film of forty minutes, composed of more than a thousand images processed using the morphing technique, so that they blend organically into one another, constituting a single Venus, elastic, infinite, in continuous metamorphosis, evolving through different rhythms of transformation. I gathered, explored, diverted, turned over, cut out Venuses from all eras, all civilizations, all categories.
This film stems directly from my work as a visual artist and, more precisely, from a large variable installation that, for more than ten years, I have been constantly elaborating and re-elaborating: it is composed of two thousand diverse elements (paintings, collages, assemblages, photographs, texts, objects of all kinds collected, fabricated or diverted since the 1950s) whose title is Reliquaire pour un culte de Vénus."
