Description
Quitter les victoires was produced following the eponymous exhibition at -Haus gallery in Blockhaus DY 10 in November 2018 in Nantes, with the participation of Laure-Lucile Simon, Simon Juquois and the electronic music group -Ruckus. Photographer and videographer, Laura Brunellière has been working since 2012 on this series of works comprising drawings, screen prints, texts, photographs, videos and film, raising new fields of exploration around the image, its caption and its reading contexts. The studio warmgrey designed the layout for this photography catalogue book published by Éditions de l'espace d'en bas, a contemporary creation platform and production unit intended to host artists' projects (publishing, production, exhibition).
Laura Brunellière lives and works in Paris. She teaches photography and video at the école des Beaux-Arts du Mans. Shaped by her studies in cinema and photography, her practice has focused on the narrative potentialities of the image. From the editing of photographic notes in her Journal (1997-1998) to the cinematic editing of the short film Juste-Ciel (2014), her research has led to the establishment of an image-language close to the zero degree of writing.
