Foma
Kit de développement Foma
Capacity 8 films 135/36, 2 films Super8/DS8/N8 15m, 1 film 16mm 30.5m
Description
Unlike the normal black and white negative development process, the exposed silver in the image remains clear and the unexposed areas become black. To achieve this, the exposed silver areas are developed and removed, and the remaining unexposed silver areas are then exposed (second exposure) and developed again, then finally fixed. This way, you get a slide with perfect gray tones.
The kit contains:
- First developer
- Bleach
- Clearing bath
- Second developer
- Fixer
The bleach is free of potassium dichromate. Complete mixing and usage instructions are included, as well as a development schedule for Fomapan R. Other films can be developed by slightly varying the initial development time (5 to 11 min).
Warning: the reversal development process is complicated! There are a few points you need to pay attention to. Since potassium dichromate can no longer be used, the bleach bath is somewhat tricky. The bleach bath used in this kit deteriorates quickly. Therefore, you must mix the bleach just before using it - preferably, you should mix it during the development process, pass it through a coffee filter, then use it. Make sure to bleach for a sufficient duration! It is also very important that the film receives enough light during the second exposure.
