Description
Universal color film
KAHL NC 17 is a medium-speed film with an unusual color rendition. Thanks to its soft gradation and pastel tones, it recreates the 8mm look sought after in 1960s advertising and fashion films. KAHL NC 17 – 2 x 8mm is suitable for all 2 x 8mm cameras.
KAHL NC 17 is a universal film. This means it is a color negative film that can be developed as color reversal (AP 44 process / E6 compatible). The result has a very "flat" gamma, with virtually no blacks. The base has a "temporary orange mask" that disappears during bleaching in the development process. Thus, the antihalation masking is no longer visible!
After reversal processing, these films become positives and can be projected normally with a projector. However, the colors do not appear natural and give a "faded and vintage" look.
KAHL NC 17 films are perfect for scanning. Even in dark areas, every detail remains present. Unlike traditional reversal film, color, gamma, and blacks can be corrected as needed during scanning.
