Two of the recordings on Axène were made ten years ago and have never been released. After listening to them for the first time, I was amazed that they had never been shared with the public. These are absolutely brilliant recordings that audiences have unfortunately missed all these years. I am very proud to share them with everyone. Axène is classified in Series I, but make no mistake. While much of this CD is rather quiet, it builds in intensity without ever losing its fluidity. (Erik Hoffman)
