Description
FOMA Cine ORTHO is a unique film type with high optical sensitivity and a variable exposure adjustment range from ISO 160 to ISO 800. Thanks to its high sensitivity, it allows easy filming even in low-light conditions, while offering the possibility of using various conversion, effect, or correction filters. The "ORTHO" effect obtained is particularly suited to artistic and experimental projects, such as expressive portrait enhancement.
Its increased sensitivity in the green part of the light spectrum allows for more nuanced rendering of landscapes and natural subjects. Compared to reversal films, processing FOMA Cine ORTHO negative film is much simpler (developer bath – stop bath – fixer – rinse). All common types of developers can be used (Foma, Ilford, Kodak, Tetenal, etc.). Due to its lower spectral sensitivity, undeveloped film can be handled for a short moment under safelight illumination, preferably orange or red (585 nm and beyond). It is also perfectly suited for scanning and digital projection via video projector. FOMA Cine ORTHO is produced with a nominal sensitivity of 400 ISO.
All cartridges are original Kodak cartridges, manually loaded with 15 meters of raw film, ready to be used in any Super 8 camera. At the standard speed of 18 frames per second, 15 meters of film corresponds to approximately three minutes of shooting. Each cartridge is sealed with adhesive tape rather than glued, to protect the film from light while facilitating its opening in a darkroom. Never open a cartridge in the light!
The cartridge is fully reusable after film development. For each cartridge returned, a €2 refund is offered.
