Description
Stephen Dwoskin, born in 1939 in New York, began making independent short films there in 1961. He continued his research in London where he settled in 1964. He participated in the founding of the London Filmmaker's Co-op. His experimental films, which he shot himself, play with desire, sexual and mental solitude, and the passage of time. He explores the representation of cinema, performances, personal impressions, and the physical disability that inspired his entire trajectory. His emancipatory and sensitive body of work has been presented internationally.
