Description
Christophe Karabache is an independent Franco-Lebanese filmmaker, born in 1979 in Beyrouth. Starting in 2000, he explored various film formats at Etna, an alternative Parisian workshop. He alternates between documentaries and fiction, addressing the wounds of Lebanese society, the displacement of individuals, and identity fractures. His desire to shatter clichés is illustrated through pulsional scenes and jarring editing. The image shocks in his feature films, made after 2010, testify to a critical, penetrating gaze on the excesses of Lebanon and the explosion of the senses.
