Description
In his paintings, films, collages and installations, painter and filmmaker Lutz Dammbeck pursues a synthesis of means of expression specific to cinema and the fine arts. His work to date identifies him as one of the major representatives of independent cinema and media art in former East Germany, as well as a unique and remarkable phenomenon in modern contemporary art.
The two-disc DVD box set presents for the first time the complete body of his animated films and multimedia works, accompanied by a detailed booklet containing essays on Lutz Dammbeck's cinematic work and numerous documents relating to his confrontations with state authorities, available as ROM content.
