Journalist, filmmaker, and co-founder of the cooperative Collectif Jeune Cinéma, which replaced, in 1971, the homonymous structure founded the previous year by Marcel Mazé, Raphaël Bassan has participated, for some thirty years, through his countless articles, interviews, and theoretical texts in numerous specialized journals, in the defense, promotion, and visibility of experimental cinema.
