Description
André Kertész, "the father of 35mm photography," was born in Hungary in 1894 and lived in Paris during the 1920s-1930s. His work embodied the spirit of what the world now calls candid photography: personal, mobile, captured in the moment. "We owe him a great deal," declared Henri Cartier-Bresson.
This documentary presents Kertész in his own words, explaining his photos and sharing his memories. Kertész takes us through his archives and into the streets of his New York to watch him photograph his beloved city.
