LINK / performance of Bochum actions / book

LINK is the title of the first performance in the series of Bochum actions, starting in 1990 as a branch of Moscow Collective Actions Group. The title refers to the eponymous hero of the popular computer game "Zelda-2: The Adventure of Link".

In the performance "Link", the interrelation between a real action in nature and the virtual reality of a computer game is reflected. A place in the botanical garden of the Ruhr University Bochum was chosen as the location which itself represents the simulation of a primeval biotope with horsetails and ferns.

This edition provides the artistic documentation of the action. It includes a descriptive text, commentary by the organizers and participants, as well as recollections from the contemporary perspective.
