15m cartridge of the newly available FOMA Cine ORTHO 400.
FOMA Cine ORTHO is a unique type of the film with high optical sensitivity and variable possibility of the exposure setting ISO 160—ISO 800. Thanks to its high sensitivity, it is easy to film even in adverse light conditions and use various conversion, effect and other camera filters. The resulting "ORTHO" effect is suitable for artistically stylized and experimental type of filmmaking, e.g. expressive imaging of portraits. Increased sensitivity in the green part of the light spectrum enables more plastic shooting of the landscape motifs and sceneries. Compared to the reversal films, processing of the negative film of FOMA Cine ORTHO is considerably simpler (developer-stop bath -fixer- water), common types of the developers (Foma, Ilford, Kodak, Tetenal, etc.) can be used. Thanks to its lower spectral sensitivity, the undeveloped film can be handled for a short time under safe lighting, preferably orange or red colour (585 nm and higher). The film is suitable for digital scanning and subsequent film projection with a data projector. FOMA Cine ORTHO is produced in the sensitivity of 400 ISO
All cartridges are original Kodak cartridges loaded manually with 15m of non-exposed film material, ready to be used in any super8 camera. At the standard speed of 18 fps, 15 meters of film is equivalent to about 3 minutes of footage. All cartridges are sealed with pieces of tape instead of being glued to protect the film from light and at the same time to keep them easy to open in the darkroom. Never open a cartridge in the light! The cartridge is completely reusable after the film’s processing. For each returned cartridge, 2€ will be reimbursed.
