LA DANSE ET LA PANTOMINE DE L'ANTIQUITÉ AUX LETTRISTES
par Isidore Isou
Maurice Lemaître and the Lettrist movement with their two shows: Mimic Fugue No. 1 and Sonnet Gesticulaire made its debut in the arts of gestre and after its passage, neither mimes or dancers or choreographers can ignore the upheaval he brought to their art is as deep and binding in their time, or those of Noverre Petipa.
In addition to the scores of its exactly noted mime and his ballet, Maurice Lemaitre offers us his reflections as a choreographer who constantly poses new problems.
Incidentally, it fills a gap in the history of mime, and in Manifesto for a surreal pantomime story, accompanied by three arguments, the author shows us that an inventor can not only open the way of the future, but also revive the steps of neglected recent past.
A significant preface of Isidore Isou is included in the volume with its perspective of a complete overhaul of artistic forms of our time.
