Maria Klonaris and Katerina Thomadaki are filmmakers, visual artists and theoreticians. Internationally known for their corporal cinema, which has recently been the subject of a retrospective at the Jeu de Paume, they are co-authoring a work that brings together more than a hundred achievements in film, performance, installation, photography, sound, as well as an important corpus of texts. They published Manifestes 1976-2002 (experimental Paris, 2003) and directed Technologies and Imaginaries (Dis Voir, 1990), Mutations of the image (A.S.T.A.R.T.I., 1994), For a media ecology (A.S.T.A.R.T.I., 1998). Their films are preserved by the Directorate of Cinematographic Heritage of the CNC and their texts and audiovisual documents by the National Library of France (Klonaris / Thomadaki Fund).
