In addition to this collection, I have already released another set of films from the 1960s titled 60s Experiments, which includes four films made between 1962 and 1964. The films in this new collection have been rarely shown in recent decades, and I recently rediscovered them as a kind of 'film poem.' The term 'film poem' was used in the 1960s to describe experimental film borrowing from the literary realm. It essentially means a short, non-narrative form, though it is often lyrical as well, but not necessarily. In this collection, we begin with the lyrical The Pacific Ocean (1971) and end with DADA62, which is not lyrical, but both descriptive and often metaphorical. In between, the films offer various poetic sensations."
— Takahiko Iimura

"This new work has developed from Iimura's performative practice which, over the years, from his work associated with Fluxus to his notion of video semiology, has radically explored the signifying systems of meaning in moving image creation."
— Dr Duncan White (University of Arts London.)
